"Finish each day and be done with it. You have done
what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no
doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can.
Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely
and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with
your old nonsense."
Ralph Waldo Emerson

Jake's Papers
One way that Jake will "continue to touch lives" is through his writings. In one paper he says that if his writing has caused someone to contemplate or touched the reader emotionally, then it is a worthwhile piece of work.
My Name
"...Jake is who I am to everyone. I seem fun, and I seem carefree. Maybe even simple. My words come in masses, overflowing with laughter, sarcasm, tales and jokes.
Jacob is who I am to those who know my soul, a deeply spiritual, deeply philosophical individual: entwined in the mystery of mankind's purpose and in search of a deeper understanding of myself as well as my God.
Beck is pride. Beck is tradition. Beck is respect. Beck is a family and a bloodline, a binding tie, and a source of unending loyalty.
Jacob Beck is me, for better or worse, forever."
Jacob Allyn Beck, Alpha Seminar, 8/29/05
